2- Approval of meeting minutes from March 3, 2021:

  • Motion to approve minutes made by Nate Johnson, 2nd by Travis Cartright. Unanimous approval.

3-Review of Current trustlands plan 2020-21.

  • Due to reduced cost of paras from Snow College and limited opportunities for professional development there will possibly be close to $20,000 left over. No more than 10% can be carried over. This year's excess will go towards technology (equipment, ipads, and apps). Next year’s ipads will have keyboards.

4-Review of next year's 2021-22 trustlands plan.

  • Will be available to view on the state trustlands site upon approval.

5-Data Report

  • This years goal was to increase WIDA scores by 10% by purchasing the prep hour of Mrs. Bradley to be an ELL teacher, funding an aide, and purchasing curriculum. WIDA scores are not yet available, but comparing end of 1st quarter and end of 3rd quarter grades of ELL students shows an increase of 12.5% of students with C or higher grades.
  • Emotional wellness needs are on the rise. The school will incorporate the program Rethink Ed next year - possibly with a 10-15 minute weekly lesson by Yasmin Heywood.
  • Janika Broomhead gave an example of part of a stress management technique the students enjoy - square breathing.

6-Enrollment & Staff changes.

  • George Richardson and Randy Mellor are both retiring.
  • Tara Daniels will teach Utah Studies and STEM (1 semester each).
  • Taylor Ray will teach Geography.
  • As of the date of the meeting, the PE position has not been filled.
7-End of Year Activities.
  • The last week of school will have many outdoor activities offered on a rotating basis. Hoping to make the end of year games a new tradition.
  • End of year band and orchestra concerts will be held in shifts to eliminate large crowds at one time. Encouraging all who attend to please wear masks.
8-Open Discussion/Questions.
  • No news on next year as far as restrictions. Hoping to be back to normal
9-Elections and meetings next year.
