As of the information we have today, South Sanpete School District plans to start the 2020-2021 school year with students coming back to our classrooms for in-person instruction. Working closely with State and Local officials, we are currently in the process of developing plans to assist all students and faculty in remaining healthy and safe while at school. Masks will be strongly recommended/required when safe distancing is NOT possible. Schools will do their best to space student out and social distance students inside the classrooms. Teachers will continue to use iPads (packets for Pre-2 grade) to instruct students for their traditional face-to-face classes and/or the online/virtual home learning. If we revert, we may need to go strictly to the online/virtual instruction.
We strongly recommend students returning to the classroom with their teachers. Traditional face to face instruction with a teacher is the best scenario for students. We understand this is not possible for all students and in all cases. We also understand you may have concerns as the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 continue to evolve. Therefore, we are preparing to offer these learning options for students and their families.

As we continue to work on our return to school protocol, we value your feedback as parents of students in our District. As we receive additional guidance from the local health department, these practices are subject to change. Please help as we are all in this together. We ask for your understanding and flexibility during this pandemic. A link to a short survey will be sent to your email that is listed on your power school account. This survey will give us vital information for making the necessary preparations for the start of school and reopening of school this fall.
