Place: Emery High School, 975 N. Center St., Castle Dale, UT 84017

Check-in: Check in for teams will happen as you arrive for your practice time. Teams can be dropped off a the main entrance of the school.

Practice times: Below you will find your team practice time. Please arrive early to be sure you are on the floor right when your time begins. Each team will have 20 minutes. This time will be strictly monitored, and you must leave promptly after your practice. You will need to bring you own means to play your music. The sound company will NOT be there during the practice times.

9:00 - 9:20 AM - EMERY floor time

9:25 - 9:45 AM - S. SEVIER floor time

9:50 - 10:10 AM - N. SANPETE floor time

10:15 - 10:35 AM - RICHFIELD floor time

10:40 - 11:00 AM - MANTI floor time

Sound Check: Sound check will begin at 12:10 p.m. The competition will start promptly at 12:55, therefore sound check will conclude at 12:45. Please be sure to bring a high quality CD and carry a back-up CD with you at all times!!

Shoe Check: Please send a representative to the gym to show your performing shoes to the floor judge. She will be there at 12:15ish.

Spectators: Doors will open to the public at 12:00. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO SAVING OF SEATS!! Please stress this to your team and your supporters. See below for the cost of admission and PLEASE pass this information along to your parents and spectators.

    Children - $4

    Senior Citizens - $4

    Children 5 and under - free

Awards: The first 4 teams in each category will be announced. The 1st and 2nd place teams in each category will receive a plaque. The over-all region champion will be awarded a 1st place trophy. All teams will participate in drill down and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded. All teams will be going to the State Competition on February 3. This competition will determine the seeding for the State Competition. At the conclusion of the performances, Academic-All Region and All-Region awards will be given. The Academic All-Region is for any girl who qualified for the Academic All-State nomination (GPA 3.75 or higher). The All-Region award is for 3 girls on your team whom you feel deserve the award. There is no set criteria for this award. It is up to you and your team to choose the three (3) girls.

I also like to recognize those who have received the Academic All-State Award and those who may have been chosen for All-State. These athletes will be recognized, but will receive their actual award at the State Competition.

Performances: Below you will find the order of performances. The order of the categories will be Military, Dance, Character. All performances will face EAST. You can enter from any way you wish. Every effort was made to make the performance order fair. We will take as much time as needed (within reason) between categories to allow your teams to get ready for their next performance.

Host School: Emery School is the host facility. Please respect the facilities. Please keep rooms clean and orderly. Leave the room cleaner than you found it. A room check-out sheet will need to be signed and turned in before receiving your score sheets.

Athletic Trainer: An athletic trainer has been hired for this event. The trainer is for emergency purposes ONLY! If you have athletes who require taping, please have them taped before the event. If any re-taping needs to be done during the course of the night, you are responsible for providing your own tape.

Sportsmanship: Please take this opportunity to discuss with your team, administration, and supporters the importance of sportsmanship. Many hours of hard work have been put in by ALL teams. Support everyone and come prepared with a great attitude.
