Dear South Sanpete Community
Many of you are aware of the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to assure you that the safety and health of our students and staffs are our top priority. The South Sanpete School District is actively monitoring the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 and has been in contact with the Utah Department of Health for guidance and resources to insure students are not at risk for exposure. We have frequent conversation with community leaders and health care officials to assure that all information as well as proper procedures are in order concerning this outbreak.
It is important that we work together to help with preventive measures. Attached below are links that will provide valuable information as well as updates concerning the Coronavirus. Please take the time to review these resources. All of this information has been forwarded to all schools. Please feel free to contact any school or the District office for additional information.
Important note: School closure will only occur under the direction of the state or county health department. Local county health departments in coordination with the State Health Department take the lead on tracking patients and those they have come in contact with to help prevent the spread of the virus. If you have questions please call the Utah Department of Health Resource Center at 1-888-222-2542. You may also call 801-538-6003.
