As the school year is drawing to a close, Manti Elementary School is preparing for their yearly May Day program.  Everyone at MES isMayDay working hard to make this program a great success.  The theme is "On With The Show." There will be a variety of music and moves which each grade level will use to entertain the audience of families and visitors.  The program includes Broadway Show music, Minions and Swing as well as many other creative tunes.
May Day will be held at Manti High School on May 21 at 9:00 AM.  After the program, the students will be excused to go with their parents.

There will be several employee changes made at Manti Elementary School for the next school year.

Valerie Dyreng, Dale Rice, Leah Dozier, Arlene Anderson, and Pat Rice will be leaving MES at the conclusion of this school year either for retirement or change of jobs.  Many thanks to all of these dedicated educators for years of service to our school, district and community.

We welcome Staci Meacham, Dave Ipson, Tresa Hanks, and Julie Davis as new teachers at MES and Linda Blake as our new IT Site Specialist.  They will be a great addition to our staff.

It is important for our students to continue with their learning all year long.  Research shows that students who continue learning through the summer have an advantage when school begins in the fall.  Speaking with seasoned teachers, we learn that one of the most important things a student can do to retain what they learned the year before is to continue reading 20-30 minutes a day throughout the summer.  Also, there are many online activities that can help students continue progressing even when school isn’t in session. The PDF below lists several online activities for your student.
