Review of Current Trustlands plan 2024-25, John talked about funding and where the numbers were at. He mentioned that if we had any carry over in funds that no more than 10% could be carried over. Members discussed leaving $5,000 to carry over to next year’s Trustlands plan. Any remaining money will go towards purchasing iPads and keyboards for EMS students. Angela made a motion to allocate the money as discussed. Tresa seconded the motion. All voting members unanimously approved the motion.

Next years Trustlands Plan (2025-26) was presented by John. This plan has the same main goals and measurable goals as last year. Not much will be changing except for a couple of items that will be either increased or decreased depending on the number of students enrolled. Tresa made a motion to approve next year's Trustlands Plan for the 2025-26 school year, the motion was seconded by Brooke and all members voted unanimously in favor of the motion.

SCC Signature Form was signed and dated by all members of the SCC.

John went over the enrollment & staff changes for next year. Our incoming 6th grade class for the 2025-26 school year will have a dropped enrollment. Roughly around 30 students less. As far as staff changes go, Laura Ericksen, our 6th grade Reading/Digital Literacy teacher, is retiring. Brandi Hales has been hired for the 6th grade Reading/Digital Literacy teaching position. Also, Steve Weller, our 8th grade English/Digital Art teacher has taken a position at the District Office as an Instructional Coach in Technology. We have hired Kira Cox as the new 8th grade English teacher.

The EMS Student Handbook is currently being revised. John asked all SCC members to please look at all the topics and see if there is anything that needs to be added or edited. A few topics that were mentioned to be added were the following:
After School Program
Field Trips
Reward Activities

John talked to the counsel about the End of Year RISE Testing schedule. When we come back from Spring Break only 8th grade students will be testing in Writing from April 7 - 11. All students, in all grades will be on the following testing schedule:

The South Sanpete Wellness Scorecard was completed at the last meeting. There was nothing that needed to be changed or updated.

In the Open Discussion/Questions from SCC members they asked how we liked the new lock system and cameras on the doors. John gave an explanation of how it worked and how it is supposed to help.

Next year we will hold elections for 2 new parent members on the council as well as set a new meeting schedule. Thank you to Angela Gerber for her 6 years serving on the council and also to Brooke Hallows for the past 2 years.

There was no other business, so Angela made a motion to adjourn the meeting for March 26th, 2025. Tresa seconded the motion and all members were in favor.
