Extra-Curricular Activities:  Activities are the icing on the cake of your high school days. We invite you to participate in at least a portion of our activities. Being a small school, we need every student to be involved. We believe participation in activities provides learning opportunities and experiences as valuable as our academic program. The following are rules and regulations that relate to extra-curricular activities sponsored by the U.H.S.A.A.:

Grade Requirements:
1. No student shall be eligible to represent Manti High School if he/she fails a class in the preceding quarter. An incomplete shall be regarded as a failing grade until it is made up.

2. To be eligible to represent Manti High School, a student must earn a 2.0 grade point average ("C" average) in the preceding quarter. (UHSAA recommendation)

3. Eligibility will be established upon posting of grades each quarter.

4. Preceding quarter grades do apply to those entering into high school for the first time, having been duly promoted from the Middle School.

5. Seminary grades will not be figured into the grade point average.

6. Students and coaches are not to ask teachers to give failing students special consideration for making up the failing grade.

7. Must be enrolled as a full-time student. (Includes concurrent enrollment)

Register My Athlete:
Students and their parents must complete all requirements in Register My Athlete.

Eligibility For Game Day:
1. Any student suspended or who is on probation will not participate in any activity for the duration of suspension or probation.

2. Students must be in school on the day of the activity unless an administrator has granted pre-authorization prior to game day for a legitimate student absence. A student may not participate or otherwise perform extra-curricular activities if marked absent or late for any class. Late means more than 10 minutes tardy.

3 Students missing school to participate in activities are expected to make up work missed.

Transportation:
1. The South Sanpete School District will furnish transportation to all approved activities in which they participate. No student will be given permission to drive his own vehicle to a school-sponsored activity.

2. Students attending any activity sponsored by the school must go and come back in the same vehicle. Any exceptions must be cleared by the principal's office beforehand. The only exception is when the parent personally takes you from the vehicle, and then the parent must personally notify the advisor of that vehicle.
