Manti High Community Council Meeting

In Attendance: Aaron Smith, Paula Tippets, Travis Good,  Amy Rasmussen, Karen Soper, Roxanne DeBiasis, Tomica Boehrer

Welcome  -  Amy Rasmussen - Chair

Approve Minutes-  Travis Good proposed a motion to approve minutes from January 6th 2021 Community Council meeting.  Aaron Smith 2nd the motion. All in favor. 

Review trust land plan and expenditures for 2020-21- Goal is to make sure that we spend all trust land expenditure. Anything that is left over will carry over:

Technology/iPads $66,000.00

Professional Development $8,000.00

Repair and Maintenance $3,000.00

Salaries and Employee benefits $45,000.00

Manti High School community council reviewed and discussed plan for 2021-22. 

Projected Funds for next year $131,215

 

Suggested expenditures:

Salaries $50,000.00

Repairs for low income students iPads $3,000.00

Teacher professional development $10,000.

Computer lab replacement/iPads $55,000.00

Leader in Me implementation $12,000.00

 

Act Improvement goal 2021-22 - The goal for Manti high will increase our school composite score on the ACT by at least .2% Paula Tippets proposed a motion that Manti High will increase our school composite score on the ACT by at least .2%.  Travis Good 2nd the motion. all in favor. Votes were unanimous.

Travis Good proposed a motion for the trust land expenditures for the 2021-22 school year.  Paula tippets second the motion.  All in favor. Vote was unanimous.

Information items:

        • New intercom system - trust land funds
        • New boys and girls swim team for 2021-22 school year.  Coach Rachel Keller Will use snow College facilities. It is a winter sport. 
        • Greenhouse - Depending on funding Manti high school is hoping to have a Greenhouse ready for fall.  The CTE, Ag Science, and special ed classes will help run and maintain the greenhouse.    
        • PCBL Personalize Competency-based Learning see hand out
        • Junior prom April 17 2021 all juniors will have to be tested for COVID to participate in the promenade.  Masks are required.  Prom will be held outside on the football field.
        • Graduation parade May 26, 2021 7:00pm. 
        • Next Meeting April 5, 2021
