Salary and Benefits
Under 20 hours/week- No retirement, no medical benefits
20 to 29.5 Hours/Week- Receives retirement, pro-rated leave days, no medical benefits
30+ Hours/Week- Receives retirement, pro-rated leave days, medical benefits
Teachers teaching less than 20 hours/week are considered at-will employees (part-time) unless otherwise determined by the Board. The district may discontinue employment at any time and at-will employees are not eligible for grievance or due process as contained in District Policy. Reference Policies: GCG and GCPDA.
A provisional employee must work for the district on a half-time basis for three consecutive years to obtain career employee status.
