Philosophy:

All children in the South Sanpete School District, including students with disabilities as defined under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, shall be provided an equal opportunity for a Free Appropriate Public Education. The objective shall be to design an educational program for each student that is commensurate with his individual needs, interests and aptitudes; and to help provide the physical, emotional and social conditions that will facilitate appropriate development of the potential skills, insights and understandings accessible to the student.

Policy:

Students with disabilities will be educated in the "Least Restrictive Environment" as determined by the Individual Education Program Team.
