MINUTES

Council members in attendance: Principal Gannon Jones, Teacher: Brandee Tapp, Parents: Allie Sorenson, Stacie Durrance, Leah Howe, Bekah Ackerman

The meeting took place at 3:00 p.m. in the Ephraim Elementary Conference room.

Welcome: Mr. Jones welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced all the members.

1. Discuss current years use of funds
a. On track with para spending
b. PLC trainings with Jennifer Throndsen
c. 50% used for in-service training (PD)


2. Digital Citizenship- We are asked to teach digital citizenship to students.
a. Reviewed the District’s Digital Citizenship Plan
b. Reviewed monthly topics that students are taught
c. All iPad use is teacher guided
d. White Ribbon Week- promote internet safety
e. Training teachers on AI

3. EES Improvement plan-
a. Schoolwide Title 1 Plan
i. Pays for paraprofessionals, supplies… always used for education
b. Reviewed Standard Response Protocol
c. Needs Assessment (Read individually)
d. School Improvement:
i. Janice Timothy doing art with K-5 (BTS)
ii. This was read individually
iii. Discussed programs that we use (RGR, Into Reading, My Math, Phonics for Reading, Heggerty)
iv. Acadience tests BOY, MOY, EOY w/ Melinda Steck
v. 2nd Step- Social Emotional Learning
e. Professional Development
i. Hired Jennifer Throndsen
ii. Instructional Coach
iii. Aligned ELA standards in August
iv. Continued training on different programs

6. Calendar Out Early day before Thanksgiving, Day before Christmas break will stay at 12:40 pm to help parents.

7. The next meeting will be looking at preliminary data for next school year.
