MINUTES
Council members in attendance: Principal Gannon Jones. Teacher: Brandee Tapp. Parents: Stacie Durrance, Shayla Howe, Alli Sorenson, Bekah Ackerman.
The meeting took place at 3:00 p.m. in the Ephraim Elementary conference room.
Welcome: Mr. Jones welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced all the members.
1. Introduction of new members
2. Went over School Community Council Responsibilities handout
3. Watched training video.
4. New officers were elected for the new year. Bekah Ackermann was elected as the new SCC Chair and Alli Sorenson as the new SCC Vice Chair.
A motion was stated by Stacie Durrance and seconded by Shayla Howe . The vote was unanimous.
5. Mr. Jones explained where the money can and can’t go with trust land money. We reviewed the budget summary from last year and the anticipated budget path for the current year. He summarized the parliamentary procedures and community council compliance checklist.
6. All members went over the Wellness Policy and scorecard
7. Ephraim Elementary emergency response plan was approved.
8. Agenda items, meeting date, time and place were discussed for the meeting on November 18th. Next meeting will take place on November 18th at 3:00pm.
